About SciDataUtils

SciDataUtils provides browser-based scientific data and bioinformatics utilities for validation, sequence inspection, composition analysis, format conversion, and preprocessing. The tools are designed for quick, deterministic work without local installation or account setup.

What it is for

  • File and sequence checks for formats such as FASTA and FASTQ.
  • Sequence summaries including counts, length distributions, GC%, N50/N90, nucleotide composition, and ORF inspection.
  • Explicit transformations such as reverse complements, DNA/RNA conversion, FASTQ to FASTA conversion, sequence wrapping, filtering, splitting, and header extraction.
  • Standalone references for sequence alphabets, file formats, quality scores, reverse complements, and sequence statistics.

What it is not

  • Not a replacement for full analysis pipelines, laboratory validation, or domain-specific interpretation.
  • Not “AI guesswork”: tool outputs come from explicit rules and deterministic computations.
  • Not medical, clinical, or diagnostic advice.

The browser tools are intended for fast interactive work and moderate input sizes. For larger datasets, repeated runs, missing local setup, limited compute resources, or broader bioinformatics analysis scopes, SciDataUtils also accepts scoped custom analysis requests.

Privacy

SciDataUtils processes tool input only to perform the requested operation. Browser utility inputs are not stored beyond the computation. For details on analytics, see the full Privacy policy.

Good to know

Tools are optimized for interactive use and moderate input sizes. For larger datasets or batch workflows, tasks can be executed via the custom analysis service.
